Imposter Syndrome
Imposter syndrome is a sense of self-doubt despite evident success. This is accompanied by a persisetant fear of being 'found out'. People who experience imposter syndrome often feel that they do not deserve that achievement and attribute them to luck.
Imposter syndrome does not discriminate. It affects people regardless of age, sex, gender, socioeconomic status, skill level or degree of expertise.
Imposter syndrome can lead to self-doubt, apprehension, anxiety and fear. Therefore, it has the ability to limit risk-taking which limits possible innovation, this prevents us from seizing opportunities for fear of failure, leading us to turn down opportunities which can, inhibit personal & professional growth.
